One of the most famous Greek dishes. A delicious starter – dip – sauce which can be combined with many other dishes. Made of yogurt and garlic has strong taste but is also refreshing. Ideal for garlic lovers.


  • 500 gr Greek yogurt
  • pourre from 4 to 6 garlic cloves depending how strong garlic taste you want to have
  • 1 cucumber grated and let drain
  • 2 spoons fresh dill finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 shot wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Put all ingredients in a big bowl and mix for a couple of minutes
  2. Let the tzatziki in the refrigarator for 20 minutes or more so that all flavors mix together with yogurt. 
  3. Serve with bread, together with grilled meat, with fried or grilled vegetables.


For quick results you can use a ready to make mixture together with the yogurt
